GeoJunxion is seeking a Research Specialist to join our team. As a Research Specialist,
you will be part of our experienced and dedicated Operations team.
Your role will include researching for data and relevant information through various
methods for relevant sources and reporting your findings in a systematic and
standardized way. In this capacity you will be critical for the research and searching of
information and data for our products. You will work both with the team and
independently. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is communicative,
attentive to detail and efficient. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
researching and reporting, in both standard and non-linear ways, assessing customer
needs, occasional calls to local authorities and data providers, and assist in analytical
analysis. As our products and services are mostly related to location services and
digital maps so the data you work with will be mostly spatial. Therefore, experience with
GIS is an asset but is not necessary. We also work with world-wide customers and
projects so knowledge of multiple languages on top of fluent English is a huge asset.
Responsibilities
- Compile and report research information in a structured way
- Use existing or establish new research guidelines and protocols
- Assess customer requirements and search for useful information and data
- Research available information, data, and sources through various methods
- This may also include calls and offline research looking for precise information
- Assess commercial and legal copyrights of data sources and contracts
- Write work instructions and product specifications for our products.
- Assist in analytical analysis, queries, and testing
- Report findings and sources in a systematic and standardized way
- Report to the Operations Manager and / or project manager.
Requirements
- Min, HBO working and thinking level
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written; Dutch and other language skills
are considered huge assets - Proficient in online searching in efficient ways (such as Google search
commands) - Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Able to handle several responsibilities and work under tight time constraints.
- Live in and have the necessary documents to work in the Netherlands
